Paul A. Matiasic
Paul Matiasic is trial lawyer focused on providing big-firm-caliber representation
with the personalized attention that only a litigation boutique can offer.
His practice consists of representing clients in catastrophic injury and
wrongful death cases throughout California.
Mr. Matiasic obtained his undergraduate degree from Santa Clara University.
Thereafter, he matriculated to Pepperdine University School of Law where
he was on the Dean's List, served as President of the student body,
participated in Moot Court, was a student mentor, and volunteered at the
Union Rescue Mission Legal Clinic. He also attended Oxford University,
where he studied International and European Union law, in which he placed
first in his class.
As a founding partner of Matiasic & Johnson LLP since 2007, Mr. Matiasic
has obtained scores of six- and seven-figure settlements for his clients
across a wide swath of cases, ranging from motor vehicle and premises
liability cases, to product liability and medical malpractice actions.
In 2009, he successfully obtained a precedent-setting multiple seven-figured
settlement in an amputation case on the Central Coast. In 2011, he was
trial counsel in what is believed to be the highest wrongful death jury
verdict in the history of Madera County in a dangerous condition of public
property case. The five-week-long trial was vigorously defended by some
of Caltrans' most experienced trial attorneys.
Mr. Matiasic's courtroom successes and advocacy on behalf of his clients
have been chronicled in such publications as the

KSBW. He has been recognized in Madison's
Who's Who, and has been named to Superlawyers'

Matiasic is a member of the State Bar of California, Consumer Attorneys

Scott L. Johnson
Mr. Johnson's practice focuses on personal injury, wrongful death,
product liability, medical malpractice, and public entity liability claims.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Johnson completed his undergraduate
education at California State University at Stanislaus, obtaining a Bachelor
of Science Degree, with honors, in 1993. Mr. Johnson then attended Golden
Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, obtaining his J.D. in
1996. While attending law school, his studies focused on torts, civil
litigation, and trial advocacy.
Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Johnson joined a civil litigation
boutique specializing in wrongful death and catastrophic injury claims.
Within the first two years of his law practice, Mr. Johnson had the early
opportunity to try several cases to verdict, including his first jury
trial to verdict as lead trial counsel. The result was a six-figure judgment
against a hospital for premises liability where the settlement offer going
into trial by the hospital was a waiver of costs.
Since then, Mr. Johnson has tried several cases to verdict in both State
and Federal Courts for plaintiffs and defendants with successful results.
Additionally, Mr. Johnson was been involved in several post-trial appeals
in both State and Federal Courts
